Arabian Sun Horses, Belgium

A dyamic Force of a Breeding programme coming from one Mare's Family

Arabian Sun Horses (ASH) was established in 1988 by Mr. Abdelmajid Bentchikou, purchasing the yearling filly N.A.DIVINA, an Amal daughter out of Hamira (by Euben).
N.A. DIVINA improved to an excellent broodmare, and she is the foundation mare of today's breeding programme and bloodstock of "Arabian Sun Horses" in Belgium. By double World Champion Warandes Plakat, N.A.DIVINA produced three full sisters: HANINA (*91), DAHMA (*93), and LA DIVA (*95) - all retained at ASH as broodmares. This group of daughters was further enhanced by another daughter of N.A.DIVINA, the 2005 born, very lovely and exotic DOUNIA (by WH Justice).

Studmanager Ingrid Bentchikou, who has been responsible for the studfarm since 2000, focuses her plans and visions on this family and line. Her intention is to bring the consistency in the breeding and quality to the programme of "Arabian Sun Horses". Some of the younger female generations at stud out of this N.A. Divina line presently are:

  • from the HANINA family - her 1999 daughter, HANISHA (by Diplomatt),
and her granddaughter, 2006 born ASH LAVIGNIA (CH El Brillo x Hanisha)
  • from the DAHMA family - her 2005 daughter, DAHLIA (by CH El Brillo)
  • from the LA DIVA family - her 2001 daughter, DONNA DIVA (by Ekstern)

However, good colts are also important! In 2006, two really special colts have been born at ASH, both coming from the LA DIVA family: her son, ASH ANTARES (by Ekstern), a younger full brother to broodmare DONNA DIVA, and her son, ASH DREAM OF GLORY (by WH Justice).
Both are really outstanding, and ASH places great hope into their future.
