Much attention and focus is given to the shows, but there is also the breeding aspect that is extremely important. The breeders are responsible people, who produce the base for the future, for show horses, for breeding horses, and for beauty and quality.
Our October 'Monthly' is dedicated to a horse family, that is based at 'Arabian Sun Horses' (ASH) in Belgium and created by their 1987 born foundation mare, broodmare N.A. DIVINA (Amal x Hamira/ by Euben). She is pictured left, aged 20 years, together with three of her daughters all being bred by ASH in Belgium and full sibblings as all are by the double World Champion WARANDES PLAKAT (Plakat x Barwna). The group and family is held by the proud owner of 'Arabian Sun Horses' and ASH stud manager, Mrs. Ingrid Bentchikou.
The pictured horses from left-to-right:
- ASH Foundation Mare & Matriarch, N.A. DIVINA (Amal x Hamira), born 1987
- Her 1993 born daughter DAHMA - a Belgian National, Int. & European Champion/res.
- Her 1991 born daughter HANINA - a Belgian Nat. Ch. Mare res., now in Great Britain
- Her 1995 born daughter LA DIVA -a multiple Belgian National & Int. Champion Filly
This group may remind you on the other part and section of our beloved Arabian horses: all the many wonderful horses at our homes, in our pastures, and many of them, producing excellent foals and also famous show horses. Many of those private and breeding horses are not in the spotlight, while they deserve to be, but just never leave their home. And it is so nice, to see a horse like N.A. DIVINA with her daughters, as well as all her family of the first, second, and also now the third generation joining her at 'Arabian Sun Horses'.
Visit and enjoy the shows, but also enjoy and go to visit private stud farms. See their wonderful horses and their breeding programme at home - many of those visits will be well worth doing!
