Sometimes you meet horses that are beautiful to watch in the flesh and in their spirit and charisma but trying to catch them in their full potential in a picture is another story. Yes, they may look beautiful in the image, but this special charisma is missed. And then, you meet sometimes horses being a real pleasure to shoot, being a real model. They turn it on in each moment that you need for the camera and lens, reflect in any situation the beauty you love to see, and seem to be born to be photographed and to pose.
The stallion Shafe Psuede is one of those horses. He is a real model! If in halter, for portraits, in liberty, or under saddle, or if just and simply in a classical scene with a classical Arab horse in the desert!
Born in the U.S., Shafe Psuede is a 1996 son of Padrons Psyche and out of Focus Shalia, a double Ruminaja Ali grand daughter as from both sides, dam's and sire's. Shafe Psuede was a very successful English Pleasure champion in the U.S. before Al Khalediah Stables, from Saudi Arabia, purchased him in early 2006. They showed him several times successfully throughout the Middle East, until he started to enjoy his life mostly in the show and stallions' barn at the Al Khalediah Stables, and always taken as first choice as a photo model. Whenever a journalist or photographer from a newspaper or artwork visits the place and needs a picture of a beautiful Arab horse to be used for the article or a promotion and publicity, Shafe Psuede is THE model! He is a real smart character, a handsome stallion without ever losing his masculine expression and appearance. He is this kind of a classical white stallion with the big dark eyes you love to shoot - as the classical white stallion of the old oil paintings! It is a real pleasure to work with him, especially for special shots and sceneries - as displayed above in the picture taken in the desert of Saudi Arabia!
On 11th of August 2010, the month of Ramadan starts for the Muslim people. It is a special, the holy month, and a period of time that shall also teach people about their spirits. It is not just the fasting itself, it is also the mental experience and moments, to come to deeper thoughts and understandings, more ethics and greater respect of your own but also the lives of other people. Especially in those very hot months in the desert summer like we have now in August, it is hard to stick to the rules and demands of this month, and for example, not eating or drinking from sunrise to sunset. However, it is an education for the mind, too. Ramadan ends after four weeks to be celebrated in a big three-day feast when families and friends meet and gather together to enjoying the end of Ramadan and the end of the fasting. |
