It is summer, the fields are flowering, and the next generation and foals are born. One of the new jewels is the 2011 filly MAYYASAH EL MALIKAH, a straight Egyptian that really presents herself with outstanding flair and beauty! Born and bred by Frank Filsinger of Filsinger Arabians in Germany, she is a valuable and member of the famous MALIKAH family and so carries this "family name", El Malikah!
'Malikah' is the Arabic word for 'Queen', and this filly is indeed a little princess. She is from the Dahman Shahwan strain and carries the blood of MALIKAH several times in her pedigree. In the 90s MALIKAH was already described in the United States as "Queen of straight Egyptian breeding", and now, two decades later, in an research article of the German Arab horse magazine, she was also found and evaluated by the huge impact she has made to be far away the highest ranked and most influential quality broodmare amongst all awarded 'Elite' mares. MALIKAH has produced the most number of 'Elite' daughters, in addition to 'Elite' sons, and most overall Total number of 'Elite' horses even above the next generations with many 'Elite' horses and progeny nominated and honored by the VZAP, the German Arab horse Society.
Little MAYYASAH is by the young sire MAJEED EL MOGADOR (Mogador el Malik x Maharani Nabilah/ Nabil Ibn Nazeefa x Marani el Malikah) who proves more and more to be an outstanding producer. He is a double MALIKAH on father's side and also traces back to MALIKAH in tail female line, so also a Dahman Shahwan.
MAYYYASAH's dam is the outstanding broodmare MINDIF BINT MANSOURA, an exquisite mare of type, overall quality, long elegant neck, size, and power while anyway smooth and elastic gaits. MINDIF has produced until three excellent daughters and a really outstanding son, by three different sires but all from the MALIKAH branch.
MINDIF's dam MANSOURA Bint Maisa is by the great sire MAYMOON and out of the Hadban Enzahi x Malikah daughter MAISA . MINDIF's sire is also by MAYMOON, the late Champion Stallion NASRAN IBN MAYMOON. So in MAYYASAH's veins is not only the valuable MALIKAH blood intensified while also that one of MAYMOON, whose important drops added the wonderful qualities of this stallion to result in a special fulfilling in the next generations.
When MAYYASAH was born, she already showed a unique type. A straight Egyptian of best background, as she is in the 7th(!!) generation of the Filsinger stud's straight Egyptian breeding programme. Already in her first days, this cute filly pranced around in the pasture - what finally even made her getting her name: the Arabic word 'Mayyasah' means 'of prancing gaits'. Nomen est omen!
Watching this foal playing around in the field and already teasing her paternal half brother born two weeks before, she also displays a sweet and such friendly character and trust to people, that she really turns out to be special from all sides - beauty, disposition and presence.
Breeding means taking responsibility for what you create to life. But with such a foal it is a pleasure, pride and even an honour and blessing to have bred her. It will be interesting to see this foal grow, and making her future, representing her family to be of the very best!
