This two-year-old filly was already famous before being seen and really known. Sometimes you get told and hear about an Arab horses, that is of superb and ultimate quality and type, the words are flying to sky especially by marketing or promotion, or when a horse is offered for sale. Then, when you see those horses in flesh and in front of your eyes, you sometimes start to question yourself where is all the supposed exotic beauty.
Many of those 'special horses' are normally discovered privately in their home stable, and are often not for sale. So it was with this 2010 filly MARWA Al Nasser. She was at her breeder's place, and some potentional people were called up and told about a very special and exotic filly. And as usual in life, when something good and special comes up, you hear about, and might be interested, you have to be fast and faster than others!
So it was HH Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, owner of the famous Ajman Stud in the United Arab Emirates. No need to tell more about this stud andf it's unique worldwide success within the last few years. No need to tell more about this man, who proves again and again that he is a master mind and progressor to new dimensions and ways.
When Sheikh Ammar heard about this filly, it took him only a short while to act, and to go for her. So Ajman Stud did it again and was ahead of all others catching this chocolate bay filly with the exotic, marvelous chiselled head, and the elegant and well arched neck that reminds a lot to her paternal grand mother famous Kajora. For 'Type' and 'Head & Neck', MARWA already collected many 20s in the very few times shown until now.
Born in 2010, MARWA Al Nasser was bred by Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, from Doha. She is a daughter of the leading sire MARWAN Al Shaqab, who doesn't need any more words. MARWA's dam is ALIAH Al Nasser, a 1998 born by Nasser Stud's longtime straight Egyptian herdsire Imperial MAHZEER, who is by Imperial MADHEEN, another double MALIKAH in blood. Imperial MAHZEER is out of the well known straight Egyptian mare MAAR BILAHH, who was owned by Ariela Arabians in Israel before passing away in 2009. MAAR BILAHH carries valuable drops of the straight Egyptian Babson blood.
On dam's side, MARWA's background and pedigree shows again RUMINAJA ALI like on sire line through ALI JAMAAL, who is ALIAH Al Nasser's maternal grand sire. Further back in the next two generations we find ancestors like MENES and MUSCAT, two famous sires in the 80s and 90s who were influencing the American breed a lot at that time.
The picture above was taken in February 2012, and it shows MARWA Al Nasser carrying the typical 'Kajora' neck, better said, the typical way to arch the neck and break the poll, that we can find several times in horses of this family. This filly is for sure a daily pleasure and pride for Sheikh Ammar and his Ajman Stud team, but also for visitors and spectators seeing her. |
